About Us

The PARKER FAMILY CHARITIES consists of three main charity funds.

1) The HOPE MARIE PARKER FUND

2) The DIABETIC FUND

3) THE EMERGENCY PERSONNEL  FUND

Parker Family Charities was created, in September 2002. This was the result of losing,  HOPE MARIE PARKER, our founders granddaughter, to Infantile Herpes. Infantile Herpes affects thousands of newborns every year, resulting in almost certain death. These deaths can be easily prevented with a simple blood test.

Unfortunately, the majority of doctors won't request this test. Mainly, because most insurance companies, and Medicaid won't pay for it. They're considered unnecessary, due to the cost.

A newborn baby can acquire Infantile Herpes, just by being kissed by someone with a cold sore. By the time fever sets in, it's almost certainly too late.

Our founders personal loss, inspired him to create this charity. We are doing everything possible, to stop this, unnecessary, loss of life.

The HOPE M PARKER FUND uses all donations, to pay for blood tests. For those parents unable to pay for their own tests, this could mean the difference, between LIFE and DEATH!!

The DIABETIC FUND, was established in July 2004, for the same reason. After finding out that our founder was afflicted with Diabetes, we found thousands of people, unable to afford medication or testing supplies. Therefore, this fund will help pay for those supplies and medications, as well as deductibles (to state sponsored clinics), for those unable to do so. All donations to this fund, will benefit those people. Making the difference, again, between life and death, from this devastating disease.

The EMERGENCY PERSONNEL FUND, was also established in July 2004, for the Police, Firefighters, EMT's etc., being called to active duty in our military. Many of these devoted AMERICANS, are thrown into financial disaster, when called up to serve their country, and protect us. Many have their cars repossessed, homes foreclosed on, and loss of savings. This is due to the great reduction in income, from being called to active duty. Many struggle to keep their utilities on, food on their table, and medical bills paid. Although their are many programs available, they just aren't enough. Therefore, this fund was set up to help those families needing that extra help. While their loved ones are away, help us give a little more help, to these brave and giving families of our Military Forces.
